My father, Captain Raymond

My father, Captain Raymond Bailey MC and Bar, fought here. The date given on an engraved shell-case done by one of his men was October 20 1918. His Regiment - the West Yorkshires, went ob from there to Frasnoy (November 4) Les Guides (November 8) and finally Sous le Bois (Nov 9) when the war ended. I was very moved to see the picture. My father would never talk much about the war, he was obviously traumatised by it. Equally I never found how he came to be awarded the MC twice.

Thank you for showing the picture.

Arthur Bailey
